“I started The Baggage Handling Company ten years ago. It cost me 80k to set it up and since then myself and the team we have now, have all worked hard to build up a good business and a strong reputation.
I’m in the ‘high-risk bracket’ for Coronavirus being over 70 and as such, told to stay indoors for the next 4-weeks and self-isolate. I’m not sure about you, but there’s only so much gardening that I can do before I go stir crazy.
This situation is a bit like wartime I guess; it’s a time to pull and stand together hence my message to you, as our loyal customers. The impact this situation could have on us as a business is we could very well be closed down by the end of April fulfilling refund requests.
I’m not ready to let this circumstance shut down what we’ve worked so hard to build. Lots of our customers have used our service for years, and we genuinely care about their wellbeing and happiness. That is why at this uncertain time, I please ask that some thought be paid to any knee-jerk reactions in cancelling our services or requesting refunds before they are one hundred per cent necessary.
We don’t yet know when this may all blow over, so please bear with us just as people did in wartime, and let’s stand together and support each other and that includes small local businesses.
We have revised our terms to provide some extra reassurances around refunds, so please read more about those below. Thank you, everyone, for reading what I had to say and from myself and the team at BHC, we wish you and your families all well at this frustrating time.”
